About The Artist

The UK artist known as Korp employs multi-layered stencil techniques and marker pens to create utterly contemporary and frequently iconographic images. His stencil work displays a remarkable level of patience and an exceptional eye for detail and the use of text and hidden meanings in many of the images belies a subverted playfulness. Lately Korp is better recognized for his marker work which consists of an army of mutated worms.

Korp was an early member of the global art movement known as Free Art Friday and in 2012 he featured on the BBC Culture Show alongside Fin DAC and My Dog Sighs. More recently you will find him painting at some of the many live street art festivals throughout Europe.

In March 2020, sparked by the global Coronavirus pandemic Korp founded the online Korp Academy to teach people how easy it is to doodle. This creative experiment immediately took off and is now a thriving group of students of all ages and abilities.
