About The Design
Where would we be without the voice of Anne Frank? Ever since he first read her diary, STAY VOCAL's Alex Eaves was inspired by Anne's courageous and powerful voice. Without her voice, we would not have the insight on the horror that many Jewish citizens lived in during World War II. During his adult years, Alex was further inspired by Anne's story, when he visited the house in Amsterdam where her family hid out and also when he visited her ceremonial gravestone in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
About The Artist
Jeff Palmer is an artist and multimedia maker based in Cranston, Rhode Island. His block prints cover a wide range of thematic interests from rock stars and writers, to celebrities, historical icons and a love for the Ocean State. Jeff’s acrylic and spray paint work on canvas ranges from the wildly colorful and abstract to simple pop art imagery like classic video games, bananas, fish and nature.
Under the banner of Taft Street Studios, Jeff can be found vending throughout the area at events like the Providence Flea, Field of Artisans and the Providence Artisans Market on Hope Street. His tees and tea towels can also be seen on the shelves at Stock Culinary Goods, Peter Pots Pottery and Newport Original.
STAY VOCAL's Alex Eaves first came across Jeff's work at the Providence Flea. After seeing his block print portraits of MLK, Rosa Parks and other iconic historical figures, Alex knew Jeff would be the one to design our Anne Frank T-Shirt.
