BREAK THE GLASS CEILING
Women all over the world are facing oppression and violence due to sexism. Women make up 1/2 of the world’s population and perform 2/3 of the world’s work, yet they earn only 1/10 of the world’s income, and own only 1/100 of the world’s property. Men and women are different, yes, but the differences don’t make one better than the other. Often we are unaware of the ways in which we perpetuate sexism because it just seems normal to us, but it doesn’t have to continue that way. Sexism hurts both men and women, and here at STAY VOCAL we feel we all need to work together to ensure that both sexes have the rights they deserve.
FACTS- 1 in 3 women will be raped, beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime
- 22% of women in the US have been abused by their partners or ex-partners.
- One-half of the women who die from homicides are killed by their current or former husbands or partners.
- Worldwide, 1 in 5 women will become a victim of rape or attempted rape.

Love Mother Earth's Body Already
Deadline: 10.31.08Here is the first of hopefully many collaborations between STAY VOCAL and our friends at Eve’s Rib Clothing. With a new ReUse bag design, we have decided to truly join forces by promoting positive body image for Mother Earth by reusing. In addition, a portion of all proceeds from sales of these bags will be donated to the National Eating Disorder Association.
But first… we need your help to come up with the design for the bag.
PRIZES
The artist of the winning design will receive:
